31 Sketch Days of Halloween. Day Four…

See. I told you I’d be caught up today. For day four of the 31 Sketch Days of Halloween, we have my favorite modern movie monster (by modern I mean created in the past thirty years or so), Fred (Freddy to his friends and victims) Krueger. I loved the original film by Wes Craven back in 1984. It was a low-budget fright fest, true the Nightmare movies became parodies of them self in quick order, but that first one remains classic. And, how many of you out remember or realize that Mr. Johnny Depp got his start in the first Nightmare on Elm Street, playing Greg our heroine Nancy’s boyfriend.

Recently, Hollywood did as Hollywood does and made a remake of Nightmare starring a bunch of angst ridden wanna-be emo kids and Jackie Earl Haley as Freddy. While that film was dark and moody enough and looked like it was going somewhere, it fell flat in the end leaving me wanting good ol’ Robert Englund to put that famous glove back on.

One. Two. Freddy's comin' for you.

BOO!

Never was much of a Freddy fan, but you nailed him in this card. Well done, sir!

You and my Mom. She doesn’t like Mr. Krueger either. But I have some fun stuff coming, I think you’ll enjoy what’s coming.
