31 Sketch Days of Halloween. Day Two…

Yes, I know it is the fourth. But the 31 Sketch Days of Halloween are being done a sketch cards (it should be a nice set in the end) and my hand held scanner doesn’t do so well with scanning cards, so posting up weekend sketches (meaning Friday, Saturday, Sunday) will wait to be posted until I get into the office on Monday and use the flatbed scanner.

Anyway, with that disclaimer out of the way. Here is Day Two; Christopher Lee as Count Dracula. With the exception of George Hamilton in “Love At First Bite”, Lee is my favorite cinematic Dracula…

Just kidding. Though I do like Hamilton in “Love At First Bite”, Lee is my number one Dracula. Yes, that means he beats out Langella, Oldman, Carradine and even Lugosi. And, yet, I am gonna also throw out a nod to Mr. Morgan Freeman (the actor who will play me in the movie of my life), he did a pretty good Drac, too.

Christopher Lee played Dracula in a total of seven classic movies for Hammer Films: “Horror of Dracula”, “Dracula: Prince of Darkness”, Dracula Has Risen From The Grave”, “Taste The Blood of Dracula”, “Scars of Dracula”, “Dracula AD 1972” and “The Satanic Rites of Dracula”.

Horror of Dracula

BOO!

Better than Lugosi? C’mon, man! Okay, it is high praise indeed. I can tell you are in to the Halloween cards. This is going to be a FUN month!

  2. Krayola Kidd says:

Dude, Lugosi only played the Count twice, three if you count Broadway. Lee perfected the character and was always scarier than Lugosi.
