Daily Sketch- 03.11.2011

Okay, still nothing new to show- so once again I’ll go with something old. But before that, I want to talk about something that I did yesterday. A buddy of mine Garry teaches for AIU Online (American Intercontinental University Online) and ask me if I would presnet a workshop/seminar for the students of AIU on computer coloring for comics. As some of you know, I did this for a living for about a year and a half and got to work on some good books for Marvel and DC.

Anyway, Garry asked me if I could do a workshop that would last about an hour and a half with a half hour or so for Q&A, which I thought to myself is not near enough time, we’d just scratch the surface of computer coloring in that amount of time. Garry said that would be just fine as he wanted to time during the workshop for questions. Now having never done this sort  of thing before, I was a bit nervous… Ah- who am I kidding. I wasn’t nervous, I make presentations at work all the time. And talking about coloring comics- this was a cake walk.

But, let me tell you- I had a great time. It was a lot of fun and the students were great, asked a lot of good questions and seemed to really enjoy the whole thing. If asked to come back and do another talk I would jump at the chance. Also, if any of the students who were at the workshop last night and are reading this right now, feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions or just wanna say “Howdy”.

Now on to some art. Following in yesterday’s theme I give you my one page origin of the Man of Steel-

Look Up in The Sky...

Maybe something new on Monday…
