Hope everyone had a good Easter. Mine was quiet and peaceful. Didn’t do much in the way of drawing, just sort of relaxed all weekend. Gearing up for this coming weekend’s Dine & Draw (Saturday 30th, 12:30pm) at Shane’s Rib Shack on Waters Avenue in Savannah. Come on out if you feel up to it.
Also, getting ready for the return of Free Sketch Card Day. The first chance is this coming Friday here, on DeviantArt and Facebook. Getting the last batch of commissions finished up. I’m pretty happy with, I hope the buyers like them.
Anyway- time to ramble on about something.
I have been re-watching a great show called Brimstone. It was a short lived series (mainly cause Fox likes canceling stuff that people really like) that starred Peter Horton as Det. Ezekiel Stone and John Glover as the Devil. See Zeke was a good, highly decorated Police Detective, his wife gets raped by a scumbag and Zeke hunts the guy down and kills him. A week later Zeke himself is killed and goes to Hell. Why? Cause he killed a guy in cold blood and enjoyed doing it and that, my friends, without repentance of sin gets you a one way ticket to a sea of fire. Well, it seems, as the story goes, that 113 nasty folks managed to escape from Hell, so Old Scratch makes a deal with Zeke that if he tracks down and sends back all 113 he’ll give Zeke a second chance. On thing is, it is 15 years later and everyone thinks that Zeke is dead.
Oh the wackiness. The show, though only 13 episodes, ranks up there with one of the best in my books. Would have loved to see more. Oh well, put it on the shelf with Miracles and Firefly.
Now a picture to look at. Some Iron Man cards I did for Upper Deck back when Iron Man 2 was hitting theaters.
