Daily Sketch- 04.28.2011

Bah! So the Canadiens are out of the Stanley Cup, having lost to the Bruins (rasin, fraking sumbeaches). So the hockey season is pretty much over for me. Sure I’ll keep up with the rest of the play-offs, but I won’t be going out of my way to catch any games until the very end. But, Dad, Dave and I had a pretty good time watching the game, even if those nasty bastiches won. Bruins. Pah! A pox on them.

What? It’s my blog I can vent if I want to. Fine. Fine. On to some art.

Today’s Daily Sketch comes from deep in the vault. All the way back to the creation of Jugenstil Studios (which was a long time ago, mid ’90s or so) and the studio at the time put together this jam piece called “Transylvania Confidential”. Featuring the Wolfman, Dracula (drawn by me), the Bride of Frankenstein, the She-Creature (drawn by Tom Biondolillo), Frankenstein’s Monster, the Mummy (drawn by Sanford Greene), Maria the Robot from Metropolis and an Invader from Mars & victim (drawn by Garry McKee). It was a fun piece to work an and was the first jam piece I was ever a part of. I have the colored version somewhere, maybe one day I’ll post it up.

Very cool. Who wouldn’t love a monsters jam piece?

Through all the Cons, have you never seen this one. I think Garry and I carted around for years. Now it sits somewhere in my studio. I should probably frame it or something.
