Daily Sketch- 05.03.2011

Well, ahoy, mateys! ‘Tis Tuesday and time for the Daily Sketch. Yesterday we had underwater villainy from the pages of Aquaman (or the cartoon Batman: Brave and the Bold) in the form of Black Manta.

Today, we have another nefarious underwater scoundrel Captain Nemo. Is he a villain or is he a hero? A psycho of the highest order or simply misunderstood or misguided? I’ll let you make your own decision on Nemo’s stability. And the best way to do that is go out and read the dang books. By books I mean 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Mysterious Island, both written by Mr. Jules Verne and both are two of the best adventure stories ever written. Yes, I am telling you all to go read a book. They ain’t hard to find, heck both are free downloads on Kindle.

Now on to some art. This is another commission Sketch Card (yes, commission are currently being excepted). I really liked how this one came out, the scan is pretty good, but the original I feel really shines.

Enigmatic Captain of the Nautilus

Tomorrow, another classic character from the past. Who? Well, it’s elementary my dear reader.
