Daily Sketch: 08.04.2011

Hey howdy, folks!

I got something fun for you all today. As most of you know by reading the Daily Sketch, a couple of weeks ago, my buddies Brian, Garry and myself set up a small “artist alley” at a local theater (the Carmike Cinemas, located at 511 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA [link]) for the opening of Captain America: the First Avenger. We set up a couple of tables, chatted with movie goers and fans, did some sketch cards for folks and had an all around good time. I want to say thanks to Lisa, Clint and the staff up at the theater. They were great and seemed real happy to have us come in.

Anyway, we had a good time and  wanted to post up some photos of the event:

Both Lisa and Clint thought the night was a big hit and hoped that we could come back in the future to do another “Sketch Card Day”. Myself, Garry and Brian are all for it and, maybe, we can even add Jason into the fray. Of course it would have to be for the right movie opening, as a bunch of guys sketching cartoon characters at the opening of the latest romantic comedy probably wouldn’t go over as well.

Personally, I am thinking we might be up for Sherlock Holmes or the Adventures of Tintin in December. Though being there for the September release of Lion King 3D might be a good one too. If not then, I’d say it is good bet we’ll be setting up again at next years comic book/adventure films.

Later gators,

the Kidd

  1. Craig says:

For Expendables 2 you guys should set up… in my front room!

  2. Krayola Kidd says:

Yeah. We could work that out. Travel and accommodations would have to be provided of course,
Either that or you could hit us each up for one around the release.
