Daily Sketch- 01.17.2012

Hi. A little tired today. Didn’t get to sleep until late or early (5am-ish). Why? Heck if I know. So nothing to witty today. First Officers ends today, tomorrow Aliens start. Hope to be more lively then.

First Officer Commander Chakotay, was a member of the rebellious Marquis, a group of Federation colonist and discontented Starfleet Officers who form to fight back against the Cardassian occupation of their home worlds in the Demilitarized Zone. While Starfleet was trying to capture him and his Marquis crew in the Badlands, both groups were pulled 70,000 light years across the galaxy, deep into the Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker’s Array and were forced to merge with the crew of the Voyager to survive and get home.

Some trivia- sure why not? A few of actor Robert Beltran’s first acting gigs were the uber-cheesy, sci-fi, zombie-ish apocalypse film “Night of the Comet” and the Chuck Norris cult classic “Lone Wolf McQuade”. On the subject of wolves; before the premiere, it was announced that the Native American character of Chakotay would have a wolf as a “spirit guide” and would be seen frequently during the series. Thankfully, however, the wolf never appeared. This series had enough issue without including something that hokey.
